Justin Beaumont Joins Rutgers Volleyball Staff As Assistant Coach

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers volleyball head coach Caitlin Schweihoffer has announced the addition of Justin Beaumont to the Scarlet Knight staff as an assistant coach.
Beaumont comes to Rutgers after working with both the men's and women's volleyball programs at LIU. He spent three seasons as an associate head coach with the women's team, helping the Sharks capture the 2023 NEC Championship and take on No. 1 Nebraska in the NCAA Tournament. Beaumont also served as head coach of the LIU men's volleyball program, including coaching the program's first-ever NEC Player of the Year. He was elevated to the head role after serving two seasons as an associate coach, helping guide the Sharks to a Northeast Conference Tournament championship in 2023.
Prior to joining LIU, Beaumont was the head men's volleyball coach in 2023 and an assistant with the women's program in 2021-22 at St. Francis Brooklyn. He was also the head coach at his alma mater for the New Jersey City University women's volleyball team in 2019 and an assistant coach at St. Peter's University, helping the Peacocks to a nine-game improvement and first-round MAAC Tournament upset in 2018.
Before moving up to the Division I ranks, Beaumont was an assistant coach at Division II Bloomfield College from 2012-16 as the Bears improved from a four-win season to back-to-back 20+ win seasons. He first joined the coaching ranks in 2012 as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator for Division II Felician University.
A graduate of New Jersey City University, Beaumont was named a co-captain during his junior and senior seasons and was a two-time First-Team All-Skyline Conference selection in 2012 and 2013. He finished his collegiate career with 2,604 assists, 896.5 points, 680 digs, 666 kills, 188 total blocks and 117 service aces across 117 matches played.
While playing setter and opposite hitter for NJCU, Beaumont also played in the National Volleyball Association and the Volleyball League of America.
A native of Bayonne, New Jersey, Beaumont was a three-sport athlete in high school, playing football, basketball and volleyball at Bayonne High School. He was named the HCIAA Player of the Year his senior year in 2007.
Beaumont is also the Club Director of Sideout Sports in Fairfield, New Jersey, a youth volleyball club that has 35 teams of players aged 8-18.
