Six from Field Hockey Named to NFHCA Collegiate Watch List

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers field hockey had six student-athletes named to the NFHCA's Collegiate Watch List on Thursday. Samantha Arnold, Anna Cogdell, Eden Doucelin, Olivia Fraticelli, Emily Nicholls and Talia Schenck earned the recognition.
Cogdell, Nicholls and Fraticelli all earned their second straight recognition. Cogdell and Nicholls previously were named Big Ten Preseason Players to Watch on Wednesday.
Nicholls had a breakthrough campaign as a Big Ten All-Freshman Team selection last season. The goalkeeper, who played with Team USA in multiple international competitions, including the U-21 Team this summer, started all 18 games in the cage last season. The Haddon Heights, N.J. native out of Camden Catholic had a 1.61 goals-against-average and 78.8% save percentage. She was second in Big Ten in 6.0 saves per game and third in Big Ten (sixth nationally) in save percentage while making 108 saves, most for a RU goalkeeper since 2006.
Cogdell played for the Team England U-21 Junior Women's National Team this summer, Cogdell has started all 35 games in her collegiate career, scoring three goals and adding six assists. An All-Big Ten Freshman team member in 2024, she has been an Academic All-Big Ten and NFHCA Academic Squad selection as well as a Big Ten Distinguished Scholar.
Fraticelli is Rutgers' leading returning scorer after pacing the team with 11 goals and 24 points last season. The forward from Toms River, N.J. was just the third RU player since 2009 to reach 11 goals in a season. She is a three-time selection for the Senior Nexus Championships.
Arnold enters her sophomore season after a promising freshman campaign on the RU backline, where she earned a starting spot midway through the year and played in nine games overall. The East Brunswick, N.J. native was named to the 2026 Senior Nexus Championship.
Schenck comes to Rutgers after a decorated career in-state with Princeton. A starter in 49 career games, she was a two-time All-Ivy selection and Second Team All-Region pick in 2024. A Lawrenceville, N.J. native, she has 27 collegiate points (10 goals, seven assists) and was a member of the Team USA U-21 squad, including four goals to lead USA to a silver medal at the 2025 Junior Pan Am Games.
Doucelin was a highly accomplished player in Belgium, where she was a member of the Belgium national program for years and played on the Belgium U-18 squad. The back is set for a big role in her freshman campaign 'On the Banks'.
Rutgers is ranked No. 17 in the preseason NFHCA Coaches Poll. The squad is set to begin the 2026 season this weekend with a pair of road games. RU starts the season at No. 18 Monmouth on Friday, then travels to Wagner on Sunday.
