Swimming and Diving Announces 2026-27 Schedule

Scarlet Knights Begin Competitions in October
PISCATAWAY, N.J. ā Rutgers swimming and diving has announced the team's schedule for the upcoming season. The 2026-27 schedule begins in early October to start the eagerly anticipated campaign.
Rutgers opens the year with the Rutgers Preseason Invitational, which will be a two-day event at home on Friday, October 9 and Saturday, October 10. The Scarlet Knights will welcome in Army, St. Bonaventure, Northeastern, Boston College and Fordham.
The team is on the road for the following weekend, heading to Lynchburg, Virginia to compete against Liberty and James Madison. The Scarlet Knights then close out the first month of the season with a rivalry meeting against Princeton, as the two schools will battle for the Cannon Trophy on October 30 at Werblin.
In November, RU heads south to Charlotte, where they will face Queens and Vanderbilt on November 6 and 7. The Scarlet Knight divers will also compete in the Hawkeye Invitational from November 17-20.
Over the first weekend in December, the team heads to the Golden Grizzly Classic in Michigan. Competitors will also look to compete at the European Short Course Championships in Poland, Winter Junior Nationals in Indianapolis and the Diving Nationals in Midland, Texas.
In January, the team will take its training trip, heading to Coronado, South Dakota, an annual highlight for the team. Competition resumes with a trip to New York City to compete against Columbia.
On January 29-30 is the final home meet of the season. Rutgers will welcome in Big Ten foe Nebraska. On February 6, the divers have the annual Platform Invitational, hosted this year by Princeton.
The Big Ten Championships are set for February 17-20 this year. They will be hosted by the University of Iowa.
RU will send swimmers to the ECAC Championships on the final weekend of February for the Last Chance Meet.
The NCAA Zone A Diving Championships will be held in Morgantown, West Virginia this year. That event takes place on March 8-10.
This year's NCAA Championships will be in Austin, Texas. NCAAs run from March 17-20.
Rutgers also has two events scheduled during the school year following the NCAA Championships. Swimmers will head to the Swedish Swim Open in April and divers have the USA Diving Championship in May.
