Women’s Golf Continues Fall at Loaded Cougar Classic

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers women's golf continues its fall campaign at the Cougar Classic on Monday and Tuesday in Charleston, South Carolina. The two-day, 54-hole tournament, hosted by the College of Charleston, takes place at Yeamans Hall Club.
One of the most competitive fields in the country, the Cougar Classic features two top-10 teams (No. 4 Florida and No. 5 Arkansas), 10 top-50 programs, 11 teams that competed in last year's NCAA Regionals and five that made it to the NCAA Championships.

What to Know
- Senior Lorena Rossettin is set to make her first appearance in the lineup this fall after missing all of last season due to injury. A two-time WGCA All-America Scholar and two-time Big Ten Distinguished Scholar, Rossettin has carded 74 rounds across 25 tournaments during her collegiate career, which includes eight top-20 finishes and five top-10 results as a Scarlet Knight.
- Rutgers tied with No. 32 Kent State at the Boilermaker Classic in its first tournament of the fall. The Scarlet Knights finished ahead of eight other programs, including two Big Ten foes (No. 44 Indiana and Iowa).
- Joline Truong carded her 11th-career top-20 finish with her tied-for-16th result. Truong fired off a one-under-par 71 in the opening round and rolled in nine birdies across her three rounds.
- Grace Lu also had nine birdies in her three rounds of action to tie for 22nd.
- Rutgers tied for fourth with 162 pars during the tournament, as Judy Amano led the Scarlet Knights with 38 pars across her three rounds.
- As conditions worsened in the second round of the opening day at the Boilermaker Classic, senior Emily James was one of just five in the whole field to register an even or under round with her even 72.
