2021 All-Big Ten Freshman Team

Senior (Fall 2024)
  • Started all 13 games he was available for 
  • Played all 90 minutes in eight outings 
  • Recorded a career best two assists in the season opener versus Northeastern (Aug. 22) and a goal in the next game at Delaware (Aug. 26) to end the season with four points 
  • After earned points in back-to-back games for the first time in his career, he was named Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week (Aug. 27) 
  • Took five total shots and put two on frame 
  • Helped the team to two shutouts at Lehigh (Sept. 2) and Michigan State (Nov. 3) on defense 
  • Drafted 37th overall in the 2024 MLS Super Draft by St. Louis City FC 
Junior ( Fall 2023)
  • Started all 15 games he was available for
  • Played in all 90 minutes of 2-0 shutout win against Columbia (Sept. 13) the historic 2-1 win against Maryland (Oct. 3) for the program's first-ever win in College Park

Sophomore (Fall 2022)
  • Started all 19 games he was available for, playing the entire contest all but twice

  • Added an assist at Penn State (Oct. 25) to end the season with the first 3 points of his career

Freshman (Fall 2021)
  • Named to All-Big Ten Freshman Team
  • Played in 15 matches with 14 starts as a rookie
  • Ranked No. 21 in Top Drawer Soccer's Top 100 Freshmen
  • Played 100 percent of the minutes in 11 matches, averaging 88 minutes per contest 
  • Ran close to 10 miles while playing all 110 minutes of the scoreless draw with Temple (Aug. 30)
  • Led the defense to posting four consecutive shutouts to start a season at Rutgers for the first time since the 1990 NCAA Championships runner-up team
  • Played all 110 minutes in the scoreless draw at No. 8 Maryland, marking Rutgers' first point against a top-10 team since 2016
Prior to Rutgers
  • A New Jersey native and product of Major League Soccer's New York Red Bulls development academy
  • Zalinsky stars out of the back for New York Red Bulls II in the USL Championship
  • A member of the MLS development club since 2016, he made his debut for the Red Bulls II squad in September of 2020, contributing to a 6-0 shutout win over Philadelphia Union II
