Prior to Rutgers: Coached by Patrick Gorbatuk at Manville ... played running back and defensive back for the Mustangs … finished scholastic career with 2,608 rushing yards and 39 touchdowns on the ground along with 13 touchdown receptions … helped Manville to an 8-2 record, a 4-0 mark in the Big Central Conference and an appearance in the NJSIAA South Jersey, Group I playoffs as a senior … rushed for 1,238 yards and 22 touchdowns on 106 carries during senior season … also added 17 catches for 363 yards and seven scores … recorded 29 tackles and two interceptions on defense … finished fifth in the state in total touchdowns (30) and sixth in total scoring (180 points) … First Team All-Group I and Freedom Silver Division Player of the Year by The Star-Ledger … All-Big Central Offense by MyCentralJersey … rushed for 1,176 yards and 15 touchdowns along with 13 receptions for 326 yards and four touchdown receptions as a junior … also played basketball at Manville.
