Cara Rapoport joined Rutgers’ staff in August of 2016 as an athletic trainer. She works with the field hockey and softball teams.
Rapoport comes to RU after two years as an assistant athletic trainer at Saint Francis University. At SFU, she served as the trainer for field hockey, women’s lacrosse, men’s and women’s cross country and men’s and women’s track and field. In that role, she worked in conjunction with the team physician, orthopedic surgeons, physical therapists, and strength and conditioning staff to coordinate athlete rehabilitation, management and treatment plans.
Prior to that, Rapoport spent two years as an athletic training graduate assistant at Ohio University working with the women’s field hockey team. In her role as graduate assistant athletic trainer, she also assisted the Ohio University team physician in the athletic training facility’s physician’s clinic. She earned a Master’s of Science in Athletic Training from Ohio in 2014.
Rapoport is a 2012 graduate of the University of New Hampshire, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training and a minor in nutrition. She is a native of Bridgewater, N.J.
