PJ Barr begins his second season with Rutgers football in 2023. Barr previously served as a player development assistant for the Scarlet Knights during the 2022 campaign. 

As a player, Barr was a standout on the offensive line at Bucknell from 2017-21 before transferring to Maine for the 2021 fall campaign. That season, Barr started all 11 games for the Black Bears, helping the unit rank third in the CAA and 24th nationally in sacks allowed (1.36). Barr earned Third Team All-CAA accolades and was invited to rookie minicamp with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

While at Bucknell, Barr was a two-time All-Patriot League selection, appearing in 37 career games for the Bison. Barr served as a team captain at Bucknell during his senior season and was twice named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll. A native of North Brunswick, New Jersey, Barr earned his bachelor’s degree in education from Bucknell in 2021.
