Kai Carter will have two years of eligibility remaining following three seasons at UNC Asheville, where she was an All-Big South selection. Carter has scored 855 points, including an average of 14.8 per contest during her junior season in 2021-22. The Atlanta, Georgia native is also active on the glass, averaging 5.3 rebounds per game and racking up 12 double-doubles as a Bulldog.
Carter led UNC Asheville in 2021-22 in three-pointers made (55) and rebounds (200) while ranking second in scoring (473 points). With a penchant for clutch performances, Carter posted some of her highest-scoring outputs in the Big South Tournament, scoring 23 in a 2022 quarterfinal win and 24 in the 2021 quarterfinals.

- Played in and started all 25 games for Asheville
- Set new personal season-bests in every statistical category
- Finished her sophomore season with 335 points scored, 49 3-pointers made, 193 rebounds, 28 assists, and 25 steals
- Led the Bulldogs in both 3-pointers made and rebounding
- Had five double-doubles on the season, including a 24-point, 10-rebound effort in the quarterfinal round of the Big South Tournament at Longwood
- Had a pair of 20-plus point scoring outings, including a season-high 26 points vs. Longwood on December 31
- Grabbed 10 or more rebounds in seven different games, including a season-high 14 twice
- Knocked down multiple 3-pointers in a game 14 times in 2020-21
- Knocked down a season-high six threes in Asheville's win over Longwood on December 31
- Following the season, Carter was recognized for her play and landed a spot on the All-Big South Second Team
