Stephanie Zannella, a Scarlet Knight letterwinner from 2020-24, joined the Rutgers gymnastics coaching staff in 2025. She was a three-year captain for Rutgers with a 2023 trip to the NCAA Regional Championships on beam. Zannella achieved her career-high 9.925 on beam three times. In 2024, she won beam at the Big Five Meet with a 9.9. Zannella graduated having competed in every meet throughout her time on campus.
As a coach, Zannella has experience at the club level and clinics. She was a the Embrace Kids liaison for Rutgers gymnastics for two years. She is currently working as an orthodontic assistance and is on track to attend dental school at Maryland.
Zannella graduated magna cum laude from Rutgers with a degree in biology and a minor in French. She was a Big Ten Distinguished Scholar and Academic All-Big Ten selection.
