Ashley Thomas enters her first season as a student manager for Rutgers women’s soccer. Thomas assists with the program’s day to day operations and support on game day.
Thomas was a walk on to the University of Missouri’s women’s soccer team before being sidelined due to a second ACL tear. Prior to college, she was a member of the Millburn Magic WPSL.
The Lawrenceville, New Jersey, native carries a plethora of coaching experience, currently serving as a coach of PDA Shore. Prior to her time with the Players’ Development Academy, she coached at the Cedar Stars Academy, working as an Age Group Coordinator and Coach within the girl’s program.
Thomas’ coaching career began at the New York Red Bulls Youth Training Program. At NYRB, Ashley was heavily involved in the NJYS ODP Young Olympian program through the NJYS and NYRB partnership, and NYRB Pre-Academy program (RDS). In 2016, she was promoted to Regional Coordinator / Coach, where she managed and developed relations with partner clubs, as well as provided coaching education for staff members.
Thomas is majoring in psychology with a minor in education at Rutgers University.
