Tracy Brewer enters her fifth season as Assistant Athletic Trainer at Rutgers University in 2020-21. Brewer works primarily with womenās soccer and womenās tennis, providing all necessary athletic training services for the programs.
Arriving āOn the Banksā in 2015, the Clark, New Jersey, native joined the womenās gymnastics program for three seasons. In 2017, Brewer headed the athletic training services as Rutgers hosted the 2017 Big Ten Womenās Gymnastics Championships.
Prior to Rutgers, Brewer spent three years as an Assistant Athletic Trainer at Penn State University for the menās and womenās gymnastics programs and the menās and womenās fencing teams. With the gymnastic teams, she was responsible for the development and implementation of all rehabilitation programs and preventative care.
She was elevated to the role after aiding as a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer with cheerleading, menās and womenās tennis, menās and womenās soccer and softball.
While an undergraduate at Rowan University, Brewer kick started her career as an Observational Athletic Training student. She assisted the athletic training staff with the Rowan football and womenās soccer programs. Additionally, Brewer aided local New Jersey high schoolās during her time in Glassboro.
In spring of 2008, Brewer studied orthopedic surgery at the Pennsylvania University Orthopedic Operating Room, observing surgeries ranging from ACL reconstruction, total knee replacement, and Achilles tendon repair.
Brewer earned a Bachelor of Science in Health and Exercise Science with a focus in athletic training from Rowan in 2010, also being certified by the Board of Certification that same year. She then completed a Master of Education in Health Education at Penn State in 2012.
Brewer currently resides in Somerset, New Jersey.
