Asa Britt enters his second season in 2018-19 as a volunteer assistant coach with Rutgers women’s tennis.
The Edison, New Jersey, native, is an Assistant Teaching Pro at the East Brunswick Racquet Club. With experience in teaching both junior and adult classes, Britt coaches various group sessions as well as private lessons. Additionally, he provides support in marketing and processing of memberships and aids in managerial duties with the club.
Britt also serves as a sports instructor at AP2T, known as the Advanced Physical and Technical Training in Metuchen. At AP2T, Britt teaches soccer classes, maintains the facilities, creates workout plans, and promotes the club. His primary focus is to provide a positive and safe environment for all clients.
Britt was a student-athlete on the men’s tennis team at Methodist University. While at Methodist, Britt was also a member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), the Student Leaders at Methodist University (SLAM), and the Exercise Science Club.
Prior to college, Britt was four-year varsity tennis letterwinner at Edison High School, collecting all-conference, all-county, and Male Athlete of the Year accolades throughout his career.
Britt is currently working towards a degree in exercise science at Manhattan College, as well as focusing on a minor in psychology.
