Scott Schweihofer

Scott Schweihofer begins his third season "On The Banks" in 2022 as an assistant coach with the Scarlet Knights.

As a member of the staff, Schweihofer helped the Scarlet Knights to the most wins in Big Ten play since Rutgers joined the nation's top conference in 2013 and directed RU to several new school records and conference bests. Along with Rutgers earning its first All-Big Ten honoree, the Scarlet Knights caputred their first Big Ten sweep and set victories over more than one Top 10 program. Rutgers also reset team, season and match records for aces and program Big Ten game bests in kills, attempts, attack percentage and assists and individual conference superlatives in attack percentage, assists and digs.

Schweihofer arrived at Rutgers after spending the 2019 season as a volunteer assistant at Northeastern as the Huskies captured its best hitting percentage since 2008 and finished the season ranked among the top three in the Colonial Athletic Association in hitting percentage, kills, digs and assists. 

Prior to his season in Boston, Schweihofer spent two seasons at La Salle as a volunteer with the staff, where the Explorers played their way to their first ever Atlanitc 10 Tournament 
 
Schweihofer was also on staff at the University of Pennsylvania both as an assistant and interim head coach, in addition to serving as the top assistant and recruiting coordinator at George Mason, where he helped the team to their best single season record at the time since 2010. Additionally, he was also an assistant indoor and sand volleyball coach at Mercer University, helping the team advance to the Atlantic Sun Tournament for the first time in four years and led the College of Charleston to a Southern Conference regular season title and an appearance in the conference championship. He has also held post as an assistant coach at Presbyterian College, as well as Michigan State, seeing the Spartans to the Round of 16 in the 2007 NCAA Tournament.
 
As a player, Schweihofer played four years at Limestone College, where he served as the team captain and was twice named MVP. As the team's first all-conference player, he set the program record for all-time aces, kills, and kill attempts.
