PISCATAWAY, N.J. – No. 15 Rutgers men's lacrosse will head to the road this weekend for the first of a three game road trip. The Scarlet Knights (3-1) head to Providence, R.I., to face Ivy Leagu/e foe Brown (1-1). Saturday's game will be broadcast online by the Ivy League Digital Network.
"We're 3-1 heading into March, whichis a good spot right now," head coach
Brian Brecht said. "Our young guys are growing up. We're getting healthier. We have a lot of big game experience, and I'm excited about the big games ahead of us."
RU is led offensively by
Jules Heningburg, who was named to the Watch List for the prestigious Tewaaraton Award this week. The senior has 11 goals, 10 assists and 21 points, leading Big Ten in assists and points and tying for 3
rd in the NCAA in total points and 5
th in total assists.

Kyle Pless is the reigning Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week, notching a career-high six ground balls is RU's 12-7 win last Saturday against Fairfield. Pless leads the team with 17 ground balls on the season. Rutgers has allowed 7.75 goals-per-game this season, which ranks eighth in the nation and first in the Big Ten. The man-down defense has allowed just one goal in 12 opponent extra-man attempts, a 91.7 percentage that is fifth in the nation and first in the Big Ten.
Brown opened the season with an overtime loss at Quinnipiac before rallying to an 18-11 road win at Stony Brook. The Bears are led by Carson Song, who has eight goals and 10 points. Luke McCaleb, who posted 27 goals and 49 points year ago, had four goals in the Stony Brook win. Phil Goss returns between the pipes after leading the nation in saves as a freshman. Ted Ottens is 22-of-39 (.564) on faceoffs.
This is the fourth meeting between these two programs, with the series being renewed last year after 51 years. The Scarlet Knights earned a 13-11 win last year over No. 19 Brown behind four goals by
Kieran Mullins, who scored three times in the final minutes after a 10-10 fourth quarter tie to ensure the victory.
