Rutgers Softball Announces Fall Schedule

PISCATAWAY, NJ - The Rutgers softball team will participate in three tournaments this fall, including the New Jersey Fall Classic and the Rutgers Invitational, both of which the Scarlet Knights will host at the Edison Angels Field.
The Scarlet Knights will host the New Jersey Fall Classic on Saturday, Sept. 17. RU will take on Iona at 10:00 a.m., Fairleigh Dickinson at 12:00 p.m. and St. Peter's at 4:00 p.m.
The following weekend, Rutgers welcomes Caldwell College and Monmouth to Piscataway for the Rutgers Invitational. RU will play Caldwell at 9:00 a.m. and Monmouth at 10:45 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 24.
RU's final tournament of the fall season will take place on Oct. 1-2 as the Scarlet Knights travel to Poughkeepsie, NY, to participate in the Marist Fall Tournament. Rutgers will go up against host Marist at 10:00 a.m. and Pace at 12:00 p.m. on the first day of competition, followed by a game against St. Francis (NY) at 2:00 p.m. on day two.
Rutgers, under the direction of 25th-year head coach Pat Willis, will return eight letterwinners and four starters from its 2005 squad.
