RU Wrestling Heads to USMMA for Quad Meet

WEST POINT, N.Y. (Jan. 9, 2010) - The Rutgers wrestling team will hit the road for a quad meet against Army, Boston University and USMMA this Sunday at the Christl Arena in West Point, N.Y.
Tickets are available at the arena for $5 and a video stream of USMMA's matches will be available on www.usmmasports.com, via the school's subscription-based service ITT KnightVision.
The Scarlet Knights (7-4) will battle the Terriers (0-1-1) at 2 p.m., the Marines (2-4) at 4 p.m. and the Black Knights (1-2) at 6 p.m.
Last season, Rutgers hosted the three schools on Jan. 11 at The Barn where RU went 3-0 by beating Army (20-18) USMMA (39-0) and Boston (44-3).
RU picked up two victories Friday night in its first home event of the season by defeating Brown, 35-8, and Harvard, 46-4, at the College Ave Gymnasium. The Scarlet Knights have won four of their last five contests.
Following Sunday's quad meet, Rutgers will be on the road again for another quad meet in East Lansing, Mich., where the squad will face Michigan State, Findlay and Eastern Michigan.
