Carroll to Undergo Knee Surgery

PISCATAWAY, N.J. (January 4, 2011) - Rutgers freshman guard Austin Carroll (Bedford, Mass.) will have surgery performed on his left knee on Thursday (Jan. 6) as a result of an injury sustained this past Sunday at Villanova. Carroll is expected to be out for approximately four to six weeks.
Carroll has played in all 13 games this season. He is averaging 10.2 minutes, 2.1 points and 1.0 rebounds per game with 14 assists.
