Rutgers Men's Basketball to Host MidKnight Madness Oct. 14

PISCATAWAY, N.J. (October 3, 2011) - The Rutgers men's basketball team will host "MidKnight Madness" on Friday, Oct. 14 at the College Avenue Gymnasium on the main campus in New Brunswick at 9:30 p.m. The homecoming weekend event, which will be broadcast live on RVision, is free and open to the public.
One lucky attendee will have the opportunity to win a two year lease valued at $15,000 on a Volkswagen courtesy of Reydel Volkswagen. The fan will have to make a half court shot during the event to drive home in their new VW.
SNY television personality and Rutgers radio play-by-play voice Chris Carlin will serve as emcee for "MidKnight Madness," which will feature a slam dunk competition, player introductions, highlight video, shooting contests and the cheer & dance squads. The Rutgers Pep Band and a live DJ will also be on hand to provide the evening's soundtrack.
Attending fans will receive complimentary t-shirts, while supplies last. Doors open at 9:15 p.m.
