Rutgers Basketball Game Day Parking Notice
Nov 02 | Men's Basketball
PISCATAWAY, N.J. (November 2, 2011) - The Rutgers University Department of Intercollegiate Athletics would like to inform fans and all those attending Rutgers men's and women's basketball games this upcoming season of reconfigured parking lots and traffic patterns. These changes are due to several large construction projects taking place on the Livingston Campus.
While these construction projects have created a great deal of excitement within the Rutgers community there will be some short term growing pains relating to parking, most notably:
- Rockafeller Road is closed but could open for general parking access on game day.
- All traffic in and out of the RAC for season parking permits to Scarlet, Green and Yellow lots will run through Hospital Road.
- Construction has significantly reduced the number of parking spaces in the Scarlet and Green lots. Additional spaces have been added in the Yellow lot to make up for the other reductions.
- Parking lots will be filled in order, front to back. Attendants will be on site to direct you to your space.
As with any construction project, additional alterations may be forthcoming. For the most up-to-date information on the construction project, road closures and parking changes, please regularly visit http://visionforlivingston.rutgers.edu/ and/or www.scarletknights.com.
Rutgers Athletics appreciates patience and understanding while the Livingston Campus undergoes this exciting metamorphosis. While these changes may cause alterations to the traditional game day routine, we will do all that we can to keep the game day experience as convenient and enjoyable as possible.
