Rutgers Head Coach Eddie Jordan Quotes
Opening statement: "We need to improve and I think our conditioning needs to get better. We wanted to dictate the tempo and were able to do that in spurts today. There is still a lot for us to work on to get ready (for the season opener)."
On who impressed today: "I thought Bishop (Daniels) and Myles (Mack) were good. I've been on them all week about a lot of things - defensively, offensive execution, discipline, getting the team involved, running the offense. We have had a lot of bad things happening in practice, and in the scrimmage game against (Boston College), so we have to get our guards right. I thought they did a good job today."
Updating status of Kadeem Jack: "He is going to re-evaluated on Friday and Saturday. He is going to be questionable for next Sunday."
On post play: "(Kadeem Jack) is a big part of what we do in a lot of things - he is an impact player. I thought our guards got better, but not where they need to be. For the most part, they improved. I thought Junior (Etou) and Greg (Lewis) were good. We are just trying different guys in Kadeem's position - Kerwin (Okoro), Malick (Kone), D.J. (Foreman) - and we'll see who emerges through the week."
On Khalil Batie: "I like Khalil. He has proven in practice and has come a long way. He has been very, very good for us in practice. I am a fair coach and he deserves what he got, he is our fourth guard right now."
