MADISON, Wisc. - Rutgers men's golf took 11th place at the Badger Invitational, played Sunday through Tuesday at the par-72, 7,259-yard University Ridge Golf Course. The Scarlet Knights finished with a 919 (301-308-310) in the 13-team tournament hosted by Big Ten Conference foe Wisconsin.
"We saw some really good things out there, and we saw some things that give us clarity about what we need to be working on," said third-year head coach Rob Shutte. "From a team standpoint, it really helps us shape the lineup a little bit."
Junior Jonathan Chang and freshman Toks Pedro led the Scarlet Knights over the course of the three-day, 78-player tournament. Chang's 6-over-par 222 (70-78-74) paced the team and tied him for 17th on the individual leaderboard. Pedro stayed consistent with each round, finishing tied for 40th with his 229 total (77-76-76).
Sophomore Ryan Rose, senior Jacob Stockl and junior Louis Bodine made up the rest of Rutgers's card. Rose's total of 231 (72-75-84) tied him for 49th. Stockl fired a 240 (82-82-76) to tie for 68th. Bodine placed 74th with a 248 (82-79-87).
