Mack & Jack Named All-Met

PISCATAWAY, N.J. - Rutgers senior guard Myles Mack and senior forward Kadeem Jack were today named to the 2014-15 All-Met Men's Basketball Second and Third Teams, respectively, as presented by the Metropolitan Basketball Writers Association.
A three-time All-Met selection, Mack also earned honorable mention All-Big Ten honors from the conference media. He led Rutgers and was among the Big Ten leaders in scoring (13.4, 17th in Big Ten), assists (4.2, 8th), free throw percentage (.846, 3rd), steals (1.8, 4th), 3-point FGs made (1.9, 10th), minutes played (35.4, 3rd) and assist/turnover ratio (1.7, 9th). Mack scored a game-high 21 points, shooting 4-of-9 from behind the arc, and played a game-high 39 minutes to help Rutgers to a 67-62 win over No. 4 ranked and eventual national finalist Wisconsin. It was the highest ranked victory in program history. A three-time team captain, he finished his career with 1,658 points (seventh all-time), 425 assists (fourth all-time), 211 steals (second all-time) and with 239 three-pointers (fourth all-time).
A two-time All-Met selection and team captain, Jack averaged 13.0 points and 6.4 rebounds-per-game. He led RU in rebounding 13 times and paced the team in scoring on 11 occasions in 2014-15. Jack had three double-doubles and reached double figure scoring 19 times, posting at least 20 points in five contests. He ranks tied for 11th in Rutgers history with 100 career blocks. In the Big Ten rankings, Jack was third in offensive rebounding (2.5) and 10th in rebounding. He registered 20 points in the win over the Badgers.
Sixteen of Rutgers' games in 2014-15 were played against programs that earned NCAA (12) or NIT (4) postseason berths.
