PISCATAWAY, N.J. -- The Rutgers women's basketball team was recognized by the NCAA on Wednesday for their academic success in the release of the latest Academic Progress Rate (APR) scores.
The Scarlet Knight women's basketball program boasted a multi-year APR score of 989, its highest multi-year score since scores were released in 2004-05.
Additionally, Rutgers captured a perfect 1,000 for the 2013-14 academic year, the third consecutive year the program has achieved the score.
The APR provides a real-time look at a team's academic success each semester by tracking the academic progress of each student-athlete. The APR includes eligibility, retention, and graduation in the calculation and provides a clear picture of the academic culture in each sport.
