NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J. (Sept. 14, 2016) - Following three consecutive weekends on the road, Rutgers women's volleyball team kicks off a four-match homestand with its annual Rutgers Invitational from Sept. 15-17. The Scarlet Knights welcome Princeton, Seattle and Seton Hall to the College Ave Gym. A full schedule of the invite can be found at the tournament central link below.

RU'S LAST TIME OUT
After starting the season 4-1, Rutgers (4-6, 0-0) has fallen in its last five contests. The Scarlet Knights look to bounce back from losses to New Hampshire, Cleveland State and host Temple last weekend at the Hilton Penn's Landing Cherry & White Challenge.
Senior right side Lauren Cloyd earned all-tournament honors after leading the team with a .310 hitting percentage and a total of 34 kills across the three contests. The senior averaged 3.40 kills per set on the weekend. Fifth-year senior middle blocker Mikaela Matthews led RU with 1.60 blocks per set on the weekend, including a total of 16 blocks.
SCOUTING PRINCETON
Princeton (3-3, 0-0 Ivy) suffered losses to Towson (3-0) and Maryland (3-2) before topping host Georgetown in five sets at the Georgetown Classic last weekend. Cara Mattaliano owns a team-high 3.17 kills per set while Brittany Ptak follows with 3.09 kills per set.
Rutgers leads the all-time series against Princeton, 20-13. The teams last met at the 2015 Rutgers Invitational where the Tigers took the win in three sets. RU was led by Lauren Cloyd with eight kills and four blocks in the match.
SCOUTING SEATTLE
Seattle (5-5, 0-0 WAC) is coming off a 1-2 performance at the UCF Invitational. The Redhawks topped FAU in five sets while falling to LSU in four sets and host UCF in three. Matea Mamic leads the team with 4.03 kills per set and is second on the team with 1.95 digs per set. Shea Harris paces the squad with 8.53 assists per frame.
Rutgers and Seattle will cross paths for the first time in program history.
SCOUTING SETON HALL
Seton Hall (5-5, 0-0 BIG EAST) snapped a five-match win streak with a five-set loss at Hofstra on Tuesday night. Prior to the midweek contest, the Pirates claimed Blue Raider Bash title, earning wins over Illinois State (3-1), Tennessee Tech (3-0) and host Middle Tennessee (3-0). Danielle Schroeder leads the team with 103 kills to go with 10 aces and 15 blocks.
Rutgers owns a 19-18 advantage in the all-time series against Seton Hall. The Pirates have won the last three matchups, including a three-set win in the last meeting in 2014.
