133 Pounds: No. 2
Scott DelVecchio (Rutgers) vs. No. 6 Bryan Lantry (Buffalo – Unattached)

Iowa currently leads all teams with 91 points, followed by Arizona State with 75. Rutgers' four semifinalist are tied with South Dakota State University for the second most in the team field behind the Hawkeyes and Sun Devils with five.

"It's good to have all four of those guys in the semifinals and nine still alive for us after the first session," said head coach
Scott Goodale. "Tomorrow is a huge round for us, so we have to be ready to go in the morning. Tomorrow is a big day for this program.'

Suriano did not miss a beat after his dominate performance in session one, as he defeated former NCAA runner-up, No. 9 seed Zeke Moisey (West Virginia), by decision, 6-0 in the quarterfinal. Suriano scored a takedown in the first 10 seconds of period one, added two points on a near fall in period two and contributed an escape and the riding time point for the result.

In his three bouts on Friday, Suriano outscored his opponents, 46-9, with two tech falls and a decision. Suriano will face No. 5 seed Sebastian Rivera (Northwestern) in tomorrow morning's semifinal bout.

DelVecchio also muscled a hard-fought decision to advance to the 133-pound semifinal, as he defeated No. 7 seed Micky Phillippi (Pittsburgh – Unattached), 6-2. Up 3-1 heading into the final period, DelVecchio secured the win with a takedown at the 25-second mark.

Lewis's quarterfinal match with No. 6 seed Logan Parks (Central Michigan) lacked scoring, as both earned escapes to force a 1-1 tie at the end of regulation. Both would trade shots in overtime, but it was Lewis' who jumped over Parks in the final minute and caught him from behind to give him a 3-1 win. Lewis earned a rematch with No. 2 seed Alex Marinelli (Iowa), who defeated Lewis, 6-4, in sudden victory during Rutgers' dual with the Hawkeyes at the RAC on Dec. 8.

Gravina entered his quarterfinal match against Dylan Ammerman (Lehigh), who posted back-to-back pins as an unseeded competitor in his first two matches. Gravina's first-period takedown proved to be the difference in the 4-2 win over Ammerman, which sets Gravina up with a rematch with No. 3 seed Emory Parker (Illinois). Parker defeated Gravina last year at the RAC.

Michael Van Brill,
John Van Brill and Pagano.
John Van Brill added a fall at 2:27 over Spencer Nagy (Edinboro),
