New York Red Bulls Sign Dilly Duka

Former Rutgers standout Dilly Duka has signed with the New York Red Bulls, it was announced by the organization on Thursday. The former Scarlet Knight midfielder joins the Red Bulls after most recently playing with Columbus Crew SC.
Duka was drafted eighth overall in the 2010 MLS SuperDraft by Columbus. He played two seasons with the Crew before moving to Chicago and Montreal before re-signing with Columbus in 2016.
In his eight seasons in the MLS, Duka has made 138 league appearances, including 95 starts, scoring 12 goals and 14 assists. He also has three years of MLS playoff experience, two with Columbus and one with Montreal.
As a Scarlet Knight, Duka was a 2008 All-BIG EAST selection leading Rutgers that season with eight goals and an assist. During his RU career, Duka played in 36 games, making 35 starts, and scored 10 goals to go along with five assists.
Before being drafted, Duka was selected to the U.S. U20 National Team tallying a goal and two assists in his first international match in a 3-0 win over Jamaica. In five matches during the qualifying tournament, Duka earned four starts and also helped the United States clinch its berth to the World Cup by converting on his penalty kick in the victory against host nation Trinidad and Tobago.
During the World Cup in Cairo, Egypt, Duka earned a start in the 3-0 U.S. win over Cameroon. He assisted on the game's second goal and added the third score of the match.
