PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers fall Olympic sports – men's and women's soccer, field hockey and volleyball - will compete 10 times in front of a national audience on the Big Ten Network this season, it was announced on Thursday. Additionally, the women's soccer team will have an appearance on ESPNU and over 30 home events will be streamed live on BTN Plus.

Women's soccer will make three appearances on BTN this season with the cameras set up at Yurcak Field for home games with Wisconsin (Oct. 1), Penn State (Oct. 12) and Michigan (Oct. 25).  Additionally, the Scarlet Knights' contest at Nebraska (Oct. 8) will be nationally televised by ESPNU.

Men's soccer kicks off its three appearances on the network with its meeting at defending Big Ten Champion Maryland (Sept. 12). The Scarlet Knights will also have a televised home game at Yurcak Field with Wisconsin (Oct. 1) and also appear on BTN at Northwestern (Oct. 15).

Field hockey will be featured on BTN twice, including its road game at Michigan State (Oct. 13) and its first-ever home game on BTN when the Scarlet Knights welcome Maryland (Oct. 22) for their regular season finale.

Volleyball will also appear twice on the network. The Scarlet Knights will be featured in road games at Maryland (Oct. 6) and Indiana (Oct. 20).

Part of BTN's coverage will also include the postseason tournaments. For men's and women's soccer, the network will carry one quarterfinal from a campus site (Oct. 29 for the women, Nov. 5 for the men), as well as both tournaments' semifinals and championship games (Nov. 3 and 5 for the women, Nov. 10 and 12 for the men). Televised Big Ten Tournament field hockey games will include a campus quarterfinal along with the tournament semifinals (Nov. 3) and Championship Game (Nov. 5).  

BTN Plus will stream 32 of RU's home men's and women's soccer, field hockey and volleyball contests live this fall.

Last season, Rutgers had 286 total competitions either televised or streamed, including 65 contests televised on BTN, which is available in more than 60 million homes across the United States and Canada.
