Tennis Set for the 2018 ITA Regional Championships

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers tennis is set for the 2018 ITA Regional Championships hosted by Yale University from Oct. 11-16.
The competition begins with the singles qualifying draws on Thursday. Sophomore Maya Jacobs, and juniors Jaci Cochrane and Kat Muzik will play for a chance to advance to the main singles draws. Two wins in the qualifying round move on, joining fellow Scarlet Knights freshmen Tess Fisher, Sydney Kaplan and Kristiana Zahare in the main draws.
In doubles action, the pair of Fisher and Muzik and duo of Zahare and Cochrane will compete in the main draw. Stay tuned to ScarletKnights.com for updated singles and doubles draws.

RU'S LAST TIME OUT
Freshman Sydney Kaplan and Muzik claimed the singles titles of their respective draws to lead Rutgers tennis at the Navy Blue and Gold Invitational.
Kaplan dominated in the A Flight Singles Draw, topping Ansofi Wreder of Navy by a score of 6-4, 6-3 to earn the title. She improved to a record of 6-1 in singles play this fall.
Muzik followed suit in the B Flight, defeating Saya Usui from Maryland by a score of 6-0, 6-4 for the title. She improved to a singles mark of 5-2 this fall.
