Loaded field features four Big Ten programs

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – It will be a quick turnaround for Rutgers men's golf, as the team heads to Westfield, Indiana from Sunday to Monday to compete in the Chatham Hills Collegiate. The 54-hole event, hosted by Big Ten counterpart Indiana, will be contested at The Club at Chatham Hills, a par-72, 7,215-yard venue.

Rounds 1 & 2: Sunday, Oct. 14 – 9 a.m. shotgun start
Round 3: Monday, Oct. 15 – 8:30 a.m.

The Field
Along with the Scarlet Knights, the 11-team field features Big Ten foes Indiana, Northwestern and Purdue. Ball State, Eastern Michigan, IUPUI, Marquette, Miami (Ohio), Northern Illinois and Xavier will also compete.

The Lineup
For the fourth consecutive tournament, RU's lineup will have sophomore Christopher Gotterup, sophomore Oliver Whatley, junior Tony Jiang and rookie Shayler Dance. Sophomore Putt Sridama will make his first appearance in the starting lineup and second appearance this fall after he competed at the OTC Collegiate as an individual.

Last Time Out
Gotterup tied for sixth with a one-over-par 217 (74-70-73) as Rutgers finished fifth at the Mountaineer Invitational this past Tuesday in Bridgeport, West Virginia. The tied-for-sixth result was the first top 10 finish for Gotterup this season and third of his career. Gotterup finished the invite second in Par 4 scoring with a 3.90 average, with his 13 birdies in his three rounds a play also second in the field. Jiang (T21) and Dance (T30) also recorded top 30 finishes at the invite.

Next Time Out
The Scarlet Knights close out the fall portion of their schedule with an appearance at the Grandover Collegiate from Oct. 27-28 in Greensboro, North Carolina.
