Men’s Golf Closes Fall at Grandover Collegiate

Gotterup paces Scarlet Knights with top-30 finish
GREENSBORO, N.C. – Rutgers men's golf closed out the 2018 fall campaign Sunday afternoon at the Grandover Collegiate in Greensboro, North Carolina. Sophomore Christopher Gotterup paced the Scarlet Knights with his tied-for-30th finish at the Grandover Resort.
Rutgers finished 10th in the loaded field – which featured four Big Ten Conference programs and three teams ranked within the top 50 rankings by Golfstat – with a 310-300-305: 915. Host UNC Greensboro captured the team title, followed by Liberty and Northwestern.
After an even scorecard during Saturday's second round, Gotterup carded a two-over-par 74 in the third round. Tony Jiang followed with a four-over-par 76 to finish tied-for-40th, as the junior led the team and tied for second overall with 13 pars during Sunday's final round.
Sophomore Oliver Whatley (T51), sophomore Bobby Weise (T66) and freshman Shayler Dance (T76) all contributed to the team scorecard. Competing as an individual, sophomore Putt Sridama tied-for-62nd.
