Murphy Earns All-NCAA Regional Accolades Following 17th Place Finish at District Championships

Murphy becomes first All-NCAA Regional selection for RU since 1989
UNIVERSITY PARK, PA. – Senior Conor Murphy paced the Rutgers men's cross country team at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional on Friday hosted by Penn State.
In the 10K race, Murphy finished 17th in the field with a time of 31:48. With the 17th place finish, Murphy was named to the All-NCAA Regional Cross Country Team. It marked RU's first All-Regional honoree since 1989.
Junior Cole Pschunder was next up for RU with a time of 32:08, crossing the line 33rd. Sophomore Patrick Walsh (33:06) and Genaro Anzalone (34:05), freshmen Nicholas Hutchison (34:09) and Will Berger (34:16), and junior Andrew Comito (34:37) also represented Rutgers in the race.
As a team, the Scarlet Knights finished 16th in the field with 368 points. Princeton took first place followed by Villanova in second and Georgetown in third.
