STORRS, CONN. –  Rutgers women's soccer picked up a 3-0 victory on the road at UConn Thursday night. The Scarlet Knights improved to 4-0-1 on the season.

THE MATCH
Rutgers took an early lead on a goal from Whitley in the game's eighth minute. Aylmer sent in a swift pass to Whitley at the left corner of the box, allowing Whitley to knock it straight to the opposite post for a 1-0 edge.

Not long after, Wiltshire added her second goal of the season and her career in the 11
th minute. Whitley sent the ball in from the center of the box to Wiltshire, who from about six-yards out would sneak it into the opposite post as well for 2-0 lead.

th minute, junior forward
Jenna Sayers sent a pass to Atubi, as the rookie broke free to beat the defense and the keeper for her first career score and a 3-0 Rutgers advantage.
Overall, Rutgers totaled seven shots on goal in the contest compared to UConn's two shots on goal. Â

- Dating back to 2008, Rutgers holds a 67-3-3 record when taking a lead into halftime, including a 3-0-0 mark this year.
- With Atubi scoring in tonight's match, seven different Scarlet Knights have now posted goals this season, as Whitley (2), Wiltshire (2), Brittany LaPlant (2) and Amirah Ali (4) have all added multiple goals.
- Five of RU's goals this season have come within the first 13 minutes of the contest, as the two earliest goals have been scored n the eighth minute. Wiltshire's first career goal came in the 13th minute last match with today's coming in the 11th minute.
- Wiltshire has scored in back-to-back contests, marking the first two goals of her career.
- McClelland has registered three shutouts in her first five starts of her career.
