Five Things to Know
1. No. 23 Field Hockey registered its highest ranked victory in program history, topping No. 6 Princeton, 1-0, on Sunday. It was the second ranked win of the season and fourth shutout through five games for the Scarlet Knights.
2. RAC Pass, a mobile-only ticket solution that was met with great success last men's basketball season, has returned in 2018-19 to include a wrestling option.
3. Men's Soccer made Team Impact's Andrew DiGiovanni an official part of the team in a signing day ceremony. The Rahway, New Jersey, native is courageously battling hemophilia.
4. Former baseball standout Patrick Kivlehan was called up to the major leagues, joining the Arizona Diamondbacks. Kivlehan joins fellow Rutgers standout Todd Frazier of the New York Mets as another Scarlet Knight in the MLB.
5. Rutgers University broke ground on the future Paul Robeson Plaza, which will open in April as part of a yearlong centennial celebration of Robeson's 1919 graduation. Robeson, the most acclaimed alumnus of RU, distinguished himself as a scholar, athlete and artist – but lived most deeply as an activist for civil rights and social justice.

No. 23 Field Hockey (5-0)
• Begins Big Ten play on Friday at No. 7 Michigan (7 p.m., BTN Plus) before traveling to Longwood on Sunday (11 a.m.).
• Defeated Cornell 1-0 on Friday (Recap | RVision Highlights) and No. 6 Princeton 1-0 on Sunday (Recap | Video Recap | RVision Highlights).
• Team leads the NCAA in goals against average (0.40) and shutouts (0.8 per game).
• Two collected conference weekly honors, including Gianna Glatz named Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week and Milena Redlingshoefer named Big Ten Freshman of the Week.
• Last week, Daphne Groothuis was named the Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week and NFHCA National Offensive Player of the Week following a two-goal, five-assist weekend in wins over Hofstra and St. Joe's.
Women's Soccer (4-1-2)
• Opens Big Ten action at home with Nebraska on Friday (5 p.m., BTN Plus) and Iowa on Sunday (1 p.m., BTN Plus).
• Wrapped up nonconference play with a loss to Monmouth on Friday (Recap) and a 2-2, double-overtime draw with La Salle on Sunday (Recap | RVision Highlights).
Men's Soccer (1-3-1)
• Opens Big Ten play on Friday with last season's regular season champions, Michigan (8 p.m., BTN Plus).
• Played to a 2-2 stalemate against Hartford on Saturday. Jordan Hall converted a PK for his third goal of the season (Recap).
Volleyball (5-5)
• Wraps up tournament season at UConn's Dog Pound Challenge on Friday and Saturday in Storrs, Connecticut, with matches against St. John's, Holy Cross and the host Huskies (Tournament Central).
• Freshman Inna Balyko set a new program record for assists in a three-set match with 47 in a victory over Howard on Friday at the Rutgers Invitational (Recap - Day 1).
• Junior Stasa Miljevic broke Rutgers' second record of the weekend on Saturday for blocks in a four-set match with 10 as the Scarlet Knights downed Navy (Recap - Day 2).
• Junior middle blocker Jasmine Stackhouse was named to the Rutgers Invitational All-Tournament Team with 26 kills on a .426 hitting percentage and 14 blocks.
• Added world-class depth to its outside hitting corps with the arrival of freshman Tali Marmen.
Men's Cross Country
• Travels to Van Cortlandt Park for the Iona College Meet of Champions on Friday, Sept. 14.
• Finished fourth at the Fordham Fiasco on Saturday, as Conor Murphy paced the team with a top 10 finish (Recap).
Women's Cross Country
• Returns to action on Saturday at the Greeno/Dirsken 6K Invitational in Lincoln, Nebraska, site of the 2018 Big Ten Cross Country Championships.
Women's Golf
• Opens its season Monday and Tuesday at the Golden Gopher Invitational at Prestwick Golf Club in Woodbury, Minnesota.
• Hosts the sixth annual Unger-DeBlasio Cup at the Rutgers University Golf Course on Friday, Oct. 5.
Men's Golf
• Hosts its second-annual Hackberry Invitational on Friday, Sept. 21 before competing in the OTC Collegiate Invitational Sept. 24-25 in Winston Salem, North Carolina.
• With one round to play at the Badger Invitational, junior Tony Jiang is tied for fourth at -5. Jiang shot a five-under-par 67 on in the opening round on Sunday. (Recap - Day 1 | Video Recap)
•Jiang produced seven birdies and and two eagles during his first 36 holes of play.
•Closes out the Badger Invitational on Tuesday.
Baseball
• The fourth annual Scarlet Knights Baseball Golf Outing will be held Oct. 8 (Columbus Day) at Forsgate Country Club in Monroe Township.
Softball
• Will hold open tryouts on Saturday, Sept. 15 from 10:30 a.m. – noon at the RU Softball Complex on the Livingston Campus. Tryouts are open to all Rutgers full-time students.
• Announced 2018 camp and clinic dates.
Men's Basketball
•The Big Ten announced game times and television designations for the 2018-19 men's basketball season.
Women's Basketball
• Set the nonconference finale with Brown for January 4.
• Will be featured four times on BTN this season including two dates at the RAC - Dec. 15 vs. LSU and Feb. 28 vs. Minnesota.
