Glatz Earns NFHCA Weekly Honorable Mention

PISCATAWAY, N.J – No. 17 Rutgers field hockey sophomore goalkeeper Gianna Glatz earned her second weekly accolade this week, as she received Honorable Mention from the NFHCA in the organization's weekly honors.
Glatz had two shutouts last weekend in 1-0 wins over Cornell and No. 6 Princeton. She made three saves versus the Big Red, then followed that with a season-high seven saves against the Tigers.
The Medford, N.J. native was also named Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week. She is second in the nation with a 0.43 goals-against-average and .905 save percentage.
This is the second straight week that Rutgers field hockey has had a player recognized nationally for their efforts. Last week, Daphne Groothuis was the NFHCA Offensive Player of the Week.
After starting 5-0, Rutgers is on the road for the first time this week. The Scarlet Knights will travel to Ann Arbor, Michigan to face No. 10 Michigan and Longwood.
