Scarlet Knights and Blue Devils To Tip Off at 7 p.m. on BTN
PISCATAWAY, N.J. – The Rutgers women's basketball team's contest with Central Connecticut State has been moved to Tuesday, Nov. 13, it was announced on Tuesday. The Scarlet Knights' third game of the 2018-19 season will tip off at 7 p.m. and air on BTN.
Entering the upcoming season, Rutgers head coach C. Vivian Stringer is only three wins away from joining the elite 1,000-win club.
The Scarlet Knights return eight members from last year's squad which produced a 20-12 overall record and a 14-game turnaround, the largest win-improvement in the nation.
Among those returning are Big Ten Honorable Mention selection Stasha Carey (7.5 ppg/6.8 rpg) and two-time Big Ten Sportsmanship honoree Khadaizha Sanders (5.2 ppg/3.7 apg).
The Scarlet Knight returnees join six newcomers to the hardwood including transfers Arella Guirantes from Texas Tech, Sierra Calhoun from Ohio State and Charise Wilson from Rhode Island. True freshmen include Gatorade and USA Today Alabama Player of the Year Zipporah Broughton, a feature player from the Geico High School Nationals in Tyia Singleton and Israeli native Noga Peleg Pelc.
