MADISON, Wis. (Sept. 22, 2018) – Rutgers volleyball dropped its first test against a ranked Big Ten opponent on Saturday afternoon in straight sets at No. 6 Wisconsin, 25-9, 25-15, 25-10, in front of 7,052 fans.
Junior libero
Karysa Swackenberg produced her fourth consecutive match with double-digit digs, coming up with 15 against the nationally ranked Badgers (9-1, 2-0). Swackenberg has led Rutgers (6-9, 0-2) in digging in six of the last seven matches, and has now totaled double-digit digs in 34 career matches.
Freshman outside hitter
Tali Marmen landed seven kills on a .333 attack percentage and served up the Scarlet Knights' only ace of the day. Senior outside hitter
Sahbria McLetchie had a team-high eight kills. Junior middle
Jasmine Stackhouse was in on both of Rutgers' blocks and added three kills.
The Scarlet Knights wrap up a tough four-match road stint at No. 18 Michigan on Friday at 7 p.m. before a trip to Michigan State, who is receiving votes in the AVCA national rankings this week, on Saturday at 7 p.m.
