Women's T/F Takes Part in Terrier Classic

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – The Rutgers women's track and field team continues indoor competition this weekend at the Terrier Classic hosted by Boston University.
LAST TIME AT TERRIER CLASSIC
Courteney Campbell set a new PR in the high jump at a height of 1.75m (5' 8.75") for second place..
Rutgers also saw two ECAC qualifying times in the 5000m. Olympia Martin raced to a finish line time of 16:56.52 and was followed by Nadia Saponara in 17:21.44.
LAST TIME OUT
Altogether, Rutgers had eight top eight performances at last week's UPenn 8-Team select, including senior Oniesha Clarke with a first place time in the 60m in 7.64.
Freshman Iyanla Kollock took fourth in the 60m (7.79),junior Lynnea Davis qualified for the finals of the 60m hurdles and placed seventh (9.08), and sophomore Kaitlyn Bragen finished eighth in the 3000m (10:32.32).
The 4x400m relay team that included sophomore Kayla Jackson, senior Jenna Sobieski, freshman Mackenzie Prezume and senior Phyllis Gordon combined to take fourth place (3:52.56).
Four Scarlet Knight jumpers logged top eight performances. In the high jump, redshirt junior Rhonda Rogombe reached a height of 1.63m (5' 6"), while sophomore Courteney Campbell cleared the bar at 1.6m (5' 6") to land in fifth and sixth respectively. Freshman Gabriela Sanchez reached a distance of 5.42m (17' 9.5") in the long jump and fellow classmate Zia Barr leapt to a distance of 10.86m (35' 7.75") in the triple jump as both took fifth in their respective events.
Freshman Zyra Thomas also brought home a top eight finish for the Scarlet Knights in the shot oyt (12.91m / 42' 4.25").
