No. 21/19 Women's Soccer Off to Midwest for Matchups with Iowa and Nebraska

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – No. 21/19 Rutgers women's soccer travels to the Midwest for two Big Ten matches this weekend. The Scarlet Knights first visit Iowa on Friday at 8 p.m. ET before a trip to Nebraska on Sunday at 2 p.m.

- Rutgers (9-2-1, 3-2-0) picked up two Big Ten wins last weekend, topping Penn State, 3-2, in double overtime on the road Thursday and Northwestern, 2-0 at home Sunday.
- Senior forward Brittany LaPlant recorded a team-high five points (2g, 1a), including a goal and an assist in the win at PSU. LaPlant earned Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week honors for her performance, as well as honorable mention recognition on Top Drawer Soccer's Team of the Week.
- Junior forward Amirah Ali ranks seventh in the nation and first in the conference with four game-winning goals. Ali jumped into the Top 10 of Rutgers' record books at ninth in career goals (23), tenth in career points (57), fifth in career game-winning goals (10). The forward has a program record eight overtime golden goals so far for RU.
- Sophomore Meagan McClelland ranks 15th in the NCAA and second in the league with seven shutouts on the season.
- Rutgers is ranked No. 21 in the latest United Soccer Coaches Poll, having climbed as high as 13 this season. RU is also ranked No. 19 by TopDrawerSoccer.com and No. 22 by Soccer America.
- Iowa (12-2-0, 4-2-0) earned two wins its last time out, including a 1-0 victory over Nebraska at home and a 3-0 win at Michigan State.
- Devin Burns leads the Hawkeyes with six goals and three assists on the year.
- In net, Claire Graves maintains a 0.74 GAA with 24 saves and 10 goals allowed.
- Iowa is receiving votes in the lastest United Soccer Coaches Poll.
- The series between RU and UI is tied at 3-3. Rutgers picked up a 2-1, double-overtime win at home last season.
- Nebraska (3-8-2, 2-4-0) suffered two conference losses over the last week, falling in a 1-0 decision to Iowa and facing a 4-1 loss to then-No. 24 Michigan.
- Dakota Chan and Sinclaire Miramontez lead the Cornhuskers with two goals each this season.
- Aubrei Corder maintains a 1.41 GAA in net, including 44 saves and 19 goals allowed.
- All four meetings between Rutgers and Nebraska have ended in a draw. Last season, the teams played to a 1-1 tie in New Jersey.
- The Huskers host Maryland on Friday before welcoming Rutgers.
