Men's Cross Country Finishes Third at Metropolitan Championships

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers men's cross country placed third at the 2019 Metropolitan Championships on Friday morning at Van Cortlandt Park. Senior Cole Pschunder paced the Scarlet Knights with a fourth-place finish in the five-mile race.
Pschunder clocked a time of 26:08.3 to cross the line fourth, marking the fourth time he has led RU this season.
Junior Patrick Walsh followed with a time of 26:53.1, finishing 13th in the field if 85. Classmate Billy Hill rounded out the Top 20 finishers with a mark of 27:14.6, crossing the line 18th.
Fordham took the title, while Manhattan came in second. Rutgers completed the Top 3 of the event.
The Scarlet Knights compete at the Princeton Invitational on Saturday, Oct. 19.
