NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J. (Oct. 11, 2019) – Rutgers volleyball (6-10, 0-5) hit a Big Ten season-best .220 against Ohio State (9-8, 2-3) on Friday night in the College Ave. Gym while falling in straight sets, 25-14, 25-23, 25-18.

- Junior right side Beka Kojadinovic led the attack with eight kills on a .200 swing percentage, adding 11 digs.
- Rutgers outblocked the Buckeyes, 6-2, paced at the net by three blocks apiece from sophomore middle Merle Weidt, senior middle Jasmine Stackhouse and sophomore setter Inna Balyko.
- Balyko passed out 27 assists, went 2-for-2 on her attacks and picked up five digs.
- Senior libero Karysa Swackenberg grabbed 12 digs and helped with two assists.

- Rutgers' early 4-0 run in Set 2, sparked by back-to-back service aces by sophomore outside Tali Marmen, aided in a 14-10 lead midway through the set. Ohio State buckled down for 5-0 run to regain the lead at 15-14 before a back-and-forth took shape with Kojadinovic, Stackhouse and sophomore outside Anastasiia Maksimova taking the lead with three consecutive kills at 18-16. Tie scores at 20-20, 21-21 and 23-23 were eventually broken by the Buckeyes, who won the final two points via kill.
- Rutgers has now led or tied in blocks in 10 of its 16 matches this fall, helping maintain a No. 23 national ranking in team blocking.
The Scarlet Knights host Maryland in a quick turnaround on Saturday, Oct. 12 at 7 p.m. at the College Ave. Gym.
