LINCOLN, NEB. – No. 21/19 Rutgers women's soccer wrapped up its trip to the Midwest with a 1-1 double-overtime draw at Nebraska on Sunday afternoon. Junior forward
Amirah Ali scored RU's goal less than two minutes into the game.
The Scarlet Knights moved to a record 10-2-2 overall and 4-2-1 in the Big Ten, while the Cornhuskers hold a 4-8-3 overall record and 3-4-1 mark in the league.

Nebraska's goalkeeper Aubrei Corder registered two saves on RU's attempts, while Savanah Uveges scored the equalizer.
Overall, Rutgers led shots, 9-4, and Nebraska led corner kicks, 8-5. All five meetings between the programs have gone in extra time, four of which have been 1-1 draws.
THE MATCH
One minute and 15 seconds into the contest, Ali wasted no time putting Rutgers on the board. The forward took on three defenders, sending a shot to upper right corner for a 1-0 Scarlet Knight advantage.
In the 33
rd minute, Nebraska tied things up with a header from Savanah Uveges off a long cross from Grace Brown.
The teams then played through a scoreless and balanced second half with both sides posting just two shots each. McClelland recorded a save in the waning seconds of the stanza to send the match into overtime.
The Scarlet Knights led the Huskers in shots, 4-0, over the two overtime periods, including three in the final frame. Ultimately, for the fifth time in the all-time series, Rutgers and Nebraska would end things with a draw.

- Dating back to 2014, the all-time series between RU and UN is tied at 0-0-5.
- The Scarlet Knights remain unbeaten on the road this season with a 3-0-2 record.
- Rutgers is 3-1-2 in overtime games this season. The Scarlet Knights are 13-1-16 in its last 30 OT contests.
- Amirah Ali, a candidate for the 2019 MAC Hermann Trophy, recorded Rutgers' fastest goal of the season, scoring less than two minutes into the game. Ali owns RU's two quickest goals of the year, having also registered a goal in the 15th minute.
- The goal marked RU's quickest goal since 2015, when former Scarlet Knight Erin Smith scored 49 seconds into the 3-0 win over Drexel.
- Ali scored her 24th career goal, moving into a tie for seventh on the Rutgers' all-time career records list.
- Brittany LaPlant is tied for the team lead with six assists, the first six of her career.
- Chantelle Swaby added the second assist of her career.
