Dean Reiber Signs with Rutgers Men’s Basketball

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers men's basketball head coach Steve Pikiell announced today that Dean Reiber has signed to compete at Rutgers University. The forward comes to the Scarlet Knights from Northwest Guilford High School in Greensboro, North Carolina.

"We are thrilled to officially welcome Dean as a member of Rutgers Nation," head coach Steve Pikiell said. "Dean is a player that we identified early in the recruiting process as someone we knew we had to have. Dean is a 6'10" versatile and skilled offensive player that plays the game with tremendous passion and energy. His ability to play multiple positions makes him a perfect fit for the way we want to play. His rebounding ability and toughness will translate well in the Big Ten, a league where those two things are crucial. Dean continues our trend of not just adding great players, but also great people. Dean is an honor roll student that comes from a tremendous family. He actually already has ties to New Jersey and Rutgers. His grandfather is a proud Rutgers alum and we could not be more excited that Dean has decided follow in his footsteps and attend Rutgers. Our fans will love cheering him on at The RAC."

"Dean has a very unique skill set," Northwest Guilford High School coach Lee Reavis said. "He's long. He can handle the ball and he is an elite passer. He has great vision on the court. He has improved and grown every year since he's been here. I think he'll blossom at the college level. He's a great fit for Rutgers."
