Men’s T/F Returns to Boston for the IC4A Indoor Championships

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers men's track and field returns to Boston for the IC4A Championships on March 2-3 at the Boston University Track & Tennis Center. The start time is set for 9:30 a.m. ET on both Saturday and Sunday.
RU'S LAST TIME OUT
At the 2019 Big Ten Championships, senior Izaiah Brown captured his fourth straight indoor title in the 400m to highlight outing.
Freshman A'Nan Bridgett claimed a medal of his own in the long jump, finishing third in his championship debut. Overall, the Scarlet Knights recorded seven podium finishes on the weekend.
The 4x400 relay team consisting of senior Sterling Pierce, freshman Christopher Jenkins, sophomore Taj Burgess and Brown broke the Rutgers indoor record with a time of 3:08.00. The quartet finished fourth in the event, less than a tenth of a second behind the third-place team.
The other individual podium finishers included Burgess (400m, 4th), Perry Christie (High Jump, 4th), and Jairus Paul (Triple Jump, 8th). The distance medley relay team consisting of sophomore Billy Hill, sophomore Edwyn Pierre, and juniors Jared Skalski and Cole Pschunder finished eighth in the event.

NATIONAL RANKINGS
Brown's time of 45.82 posted at the conference championships ranks 10th in the nation heading into NCAA's.
Additionally, the school-record 4x400m time of 3:08.00 ranks 18th in the NCAA.
Rutgers enters the weekend ranked fourth in the Mid-Atlantic Region and 69th in the nation in the latest USTFCCCA rankings.
