Tennis Travels to Army for First Road Match of Year

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers tennis travels to Army for its first road match of the year on Friday, Feb. 8. Start time is set for 12 p.m. ET in West Point, New York.

RUTGERS QUICK HITS
- Rutgers improved to 2-0 on the year after defeating Penn State, 4-3, last Friday. The Scarlet Knights collected four singles victories for the win.
- Freshman Kristiana Zahare clinched the win over PSU with a victory at the No. 6 singles spot, moving to a 2-0 record in singles this season.
- Junior Kat Muzik and sophomore Maya Jacobs also hold 2-0 records in singles action. Muzik has split time at the No. 2 and 3 singles spots, while Jacobs earned both wins at the No. 1 position.
SCOUTING ARMY
- Army holds a 4-2 overall record entering the weekend, posting wins over Binghamton and Sacred Hart last Friday.
- Sam DiMaio and Abi Waldman lead the team with 3-0 dual records in singles. DiMaio earned her wins at the No. 3 and 4 spots, while Walman added hers at the No. 6 position.
- Stephanie Dolehide and Caroline Vincent hold a 3-0 dual record in doubles across the No. 1 and 2 spots.
SERIES VS. ARMY
- Last season, Rutgers defeated Army, 4-3, claiming the doubles point and three singles matches for the home victory.
- Junior Jaci Cochrane, Jacobs and Muzik each contributed singles victories in the matchup.
