NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J. (April 3, 2019) – Rutgers rowing appeared in this week's
Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association/USRowing Coaches Poll, it was announced Wednesday. The Scarlet Knights are currently ranked No. 15, the team's highest ranking in program history.

The Scarlet Knights, who earned Big Ten Boat of the Week honors on March 26, are coming off a stellar performance at the Doc Hosea Invitational on March 30 in which they bested 11 other teams to take the team trophy. En route to the victory, Rutgers picked up wins over ranked opponents, defeating No. 14 Syracuse and Big Ten rival No. 15 Minnesota.

RU opened the season at the Cooper Sprints on March 24, taking home seven top-three finishes and three event victories in the 15 team field, including a win over No. 20 Duke.

It marks the first time since the poll shifted from recognizing varsity eight boats to a team ranking in 2010, that the Scarlet Knights appeared in the CRCA/USRowing Coaches Poll Top-20.Â

Rutgers returns to action on Saturday, April 13 for a Big Ten Double Dual against Michigan State and Michigan on the campus of Ohio State.
