NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J. – No. 14 Rutgers women's rowing won the Big Ten Boat of the Week award for its varsity four on Tuesday, April 30. It marks the second weekly honor this season for the Scarlet Knights and third in program history.

Rutgers competed against No. 7 Princeton, No. 12 Wisconsin and Columbia on Lake Carnegie last Saturday with the varsity four opening the day with a win. The Scarlet Knights posted a time of 7:19.4 to finish ahead of Wisconsin in second (7:21.9), Princeton (7:28.6) in third and fourth-place Columbia (7:51.7).

The Scarlet Knights previously won Big Ten Boat of the Week honors following a season-opening win in the varsity eight at the Cooper Sprints. Rutgers finished first with a time of 6:26.07 in the Grand Final, outpacing 20th-ranked Duke by four seconds and Navy by nearly eight seconds.

Justin Price guided the Scarlet Knights to a sweep of Columbia on March 24, his first race at the helm of the program.

Rutgers will close out the regular season with the Eastern Sprints on May 5 in Worcester, Mass., before heading to the Big Ten Championships where the team is coming off its best-ever finish in 2018.
