JACKSONVILLE, FLA. - Rutgers men's track and field opened its weekend at the NCAA East Preliminary. Sophomore
Taj Burgess represented the Scarlet Knights in the 400m, while freshman
A'nan Bridgett competed in the long jump.Â
Burgess moved on to the 400m quarterfinals, placing third in his heat with a time of 46.12. The Carteret, New Jersey, native will now compete in Friday's semifinal at 5:45 p.m. ET.Â
In the long jump, Bridgett finished in the top 25 of the regional, recording a mark of 7.31m (23' 11.75"). It marked Bridgett's first appearance at NCAA Regionals.Â
