PISCATAWAY, N.J.  –  Rutgers track and field clocked in several highly ranked times in the 2019-2020 indoor season. Leading the way is junior
Taj Burgess as the world leader in the 500m in the 2020 Indoor World Rankings by Track and Field news. Sophomore
Reanda Richards aregistered a mark in the top 10 of the 500m, while the men's 4x800m relay team had the second-fastest time in the world this season.Â

Burgess began the indoor campaign with a second-fastest mark in NCAA history, clocking a school record 1.00.80 in the opener. The Jersey City, New Jersey, native went on to best the result to 1:00.73, the fastest indoor time in the event worldwide this season.

The 4x800m relay team of
Sean Martinek, Eric Barnes, Jared Skalski, and
Billy Hill recorded a time of 7:31.12, which marks the second-fastest time during the 2020 indoor season.

Sophomore
Reanda Richards added a school record of her own in the 500m with a time of 1:11.73, ranking ninth over all competitors in indoor competition this year.
