RU'S NCAA INDOOR HISTORY
It marks the first time the Rutgers men have sent two individual competitors to the NCAA Indoor Championships. The last time RU competed in two events at Indoors was in 1980-81 when Eugene Norman qualified for the 55m hurdles and the 4x800m team of Brian Grimes, Stan Belin, Walter Kirkland, and James Westman won the national title.

Burgess is the third Scarlet Knight to qualify for the 400m, joining Tom Ulan (1969-70, 1970-71) and Jermaine Griffith (2016-17). Christie is second to qualify in the high jump, as Tom Howell first did so in 1974-75. Overall, it is the RU men's first representation at indoors since 2016-17.

Campbell is the first indoor qualifier for the women's side since 2016. She is the first Scarlet Knight to qualify in the high jump in women's program history.
